Directions to Makoshika State Park

Coming from the East:

From Exit 215 (City Center Exit, the easternmost exit in Glendive), turn south over the interstate bridge and follow that street (Merrill Avenue all the way through town. When you reach the far end of town on Merrill Avenue, you will turn left under the railroad underpass (there is a big painted metal dinosaur in the parking lot of the EPEC - Eastern Plains Event Center - just before the underpass, and a state park brown directional sign at the intersection). Continue forward from the underpass (Barry Street) for 5 blocks (there is a brown state park directional sign at the intersection with the stop sign at Loaf & Jug gas station: continue forward at this intersection). Turn right on Taylor Avenue (there is a brown state park directional sign at this intersection). Go 6 blocks and turn left at Snyder Avenue (there is a brown state park directional sign at this intersection). The park entrance will be 1/2 mile from the corner. 

Coming from the West:

From Exit 210 (Circle Exit, the easternmost exit in Glendive) proceed east through West Glendive and over the Yellowstone River on the Towne Street Bridge. Continue forward to the last stoplight (Merrill Avenue) and turn right on Merrill Avenue, follow that street (Merrill Avenue all the way through town. When you reach the far end of town on Merrill Avenue, you will turn left under the railroad underpass (there is a big painted metal dinosaur in the parking lot of the EPEC - Eastern Plains Event Center - just before the underpass, and a state park brown directional sign at the intersection). Continue forward from the underpass (Barry Street) for 5 blocks (there is a brown state park directional sign at the intersection with the stop sign at Loaf & Jug gas station: continue forward at this intersection). Turn right on Taylor Avenue (there is a brown state park directional sign at this intersection).
